Many of my friends have requested a knit replication of their cherished pet. I’ve decided to share some of the designs with the knitting community!

This one is dear to my heart, as it is a replica of my own house rabbit, Pert. Unfortunately, Pert has passed away last year, at the respectable age of 10½ years. He was the sweetest pet anyone could imagine, that’s why he got his own clone!

Pert was knitted on 3,25 mm needles (UK 10, US 3) with approx. 105 m yarn. Lana Grossa Ragazza Voi (10) brown mottled, knit together with Lana Grossa Mohairlana (13) blackbrown, gives the body both a fleecy and dappled look. Scheepjes Olifantje (09) dark brown, knit together with Lana Grossa Mohairlana (13) blackbrown has been used to create the ears and paws.He measures 18 cm from nose to tail.

Of course you can go wild, make up your own color scheme and knit your own rabbit!

This is an easy to medium project, that requires some short row and intarsia knitting and knitting in the round.
