Don’t you need two kitties hanging on your wall?

It’s so much fun.
Let yourself go crazy with colors and yarn.
Don’t worry about running out - substitute for a near match, or something totally different for a wilder effect,
(life is too short to be timid).

The picture is knitted in st.st, with seed st border,
and mounted on foam board (instructions included).
The roof is done in stranding, the sky can be stranding or intarsia.

Can easily be made into a lap blanket or a pillow (instructions not included).

Size can be adjusted:
use smaller needles and fine/baby yarn for a smaller picture,
use large needles and bulky yarn for lap/baby blanket.

Gauge is not crucial. In general with picture knitting my attitude, once I picked the yarn and needles, is to let the picture lead, and show me how it wants to be (as oppose to a fixed idea of what it should look like in the end).

Yarns: approx:
Brown: 33 y/ 30 m
Red: 35 y / 32 m
Gray Cat: 32 y / 30 m
White Cat: 35 y / 32 m
Moon: 10 y / 9 m
Sky: 109 y / 100 m
• Because the sky is a big area with very little activity,
use the yarns to help keep it interesting.
Self striping yarn, or 2 strands held together will do the trick.

Materials:
• Cutting board, cutting knife and a metal ruler.
• Foam board - my favorite is (20x30x) 3/16 inch thick (51 x 76 x 0.5cm).
• Small piece of foam to cut into a picture hanger.
• Straight pins - the best would be 3/4 inch (2 cm), but whatever you find will do.

Feel free to add whiskers :)
