How Now Crown Cowl

A freebie.

Includes both line-by-line abbreviated instructions and a chart.

Worked bottom up in the round.

Beginner Skill Level.

A band of eyelet wreaths edged in garter followed by five wide ribbing panels, topped with garter stitch and crocheted picot scallops - you can skip the crochet edging and do the same intro eyelet bands as the ‘outro’ if you choose.

Materials

Aprox. 110 yds (100 m) of Aran or light chunky yarn (6 - 7 WPI)
~Brown sample used 1 ball (110 yds/100 m/100 g) Louisa Harding Hulda (Chunky) in brown.

US 8 or 9 ( 5 or 5.5 mm) circular needle 16” (40 cm) long.

G (4.5 mm) crochet hook
Stitch Markers
Tapestry Needle

Knowledge: Long tail CO -or other stretchy CO, K, Ktbl, P, YO, slip stitch and pass slip stitch over (sl. st. /psso), BO

Basic crochet (optional-can use knitted intro as both ends) chain, single crochet (sc), slip st.
