I liked the little twists in this 17th century motif as they looked like the spirals that develop when you stir water. The pattern twists its way up and around this cozy neck cowl adding movement and colour. I called this cowl Hrerde which is Old English for “to stir”.

Contrast Colour (CC) A to Z Alpaca Bulky 242 m / 200 g (265 yds / 7.1 oz), 1 ball. Colour Light Orange. Any currently available Worsted (#4) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
