Hubby
Hubby is the cardigan for the man in your life.
A simple and elegant slim fitted cardigan, featuring rib structures down the sleeves and down the sides and a modern zip closure.
Hubby is worked top down in the round with a raglan sleeve construction. The cardigan is worked with two strands of a light fingering weight held together, in stockinette broken by a 3 by 2 rib detail on sleeves and sides. The rib detail flows into hem and neckband creating a seamless elegant visual effect.
The back is raised, the neckline is picked up and finally the jumper is steeked open to put in the zipper.
The pattern is graded for four sizes: S(M)L(XL).
Finished chest measurements: 102(112)122(132)cm / 40(44)48(52)’’.
Final length of all sizes is 75cm / 30”.
The cardigan is designed with no or minimal positive ease (5cm / 2”).
Hubby is worked with two strands held together of Coast yarn, 55% wool, 45% cotton light fingering weight 350m (387 yards)/50g from Holst Garn. www.holstgarn.dk.
Colours used here are Charcoal and Lead – one strand of each colour worked together.
The indicated yardage is for one strand of yarn, so you will need this amount for each of the strands of yarn used.
Other yarn combinations can be used. Remember to swatch to check gauge and fabric - this is important regardless of yarn used.
