This hat is based on a scarf pattern by Monika Steinbauer called ’His (birthday) scarf’. You can find it here on Ravelry.

I loved the pattern and when I finished my scarf I really wanted a matching hat to go with it too. I couldn’t find one so I came up with this.

There are now 2 versions of the instructions available: for knitting in the round and flat, plus 3 sizes.
