This hat features a huddle of penguins, closely packed together under a starry (or snowy) Antarctic sky.

Did you know that in the center of a huddle of penguins, temperatures can rise to 37 degrees Celsius? This hat is bound to keep you warm on cold winter days!

The pattern comes in four sizes (toddler, child, teen and adult). As it is built up of sections of 16 stitches wide, it is easily adaptable if you’re using a different yarn or gauge.

All penguins are slightly different, so knitting them requires some concentration, but the remainder of the hat is quick and straightforward.

The hat works well in monochrome, using black, white and grey. You can also use cool blues for the ice and sky, or use any other color combination that you like.
