Huey is a character from the book by Oliver Jeffers ‘The Hueys in the New Jumper’.

I absolutely love this little character and the moment I found the book and read the story I fell in love with the Hueys…and so did the children I read this story to.

But we needed the character to come to life and since I could knit, I thought I would give it a try.

And so the Hueys came to life and the kids loved him even more; they played with him, hugged him, took him for walks…He became a great play companion, teaching them at the same time, how unique and special they all were and are…even though they are all so different…

And so I hope you enjoy working with this pattern and the child you are making it for will love his Huey too.
