This is a pattern for a puff flower hexagon. The pattern was written specifically for use in a temperature blanket, with the center representing the low temperature of the day, the middle/petals the average temperature of the day, and the background as the high temperature of the day. Could be done in the opposite way - or used for something entirely different!

The hexagon measures 3.5 inches across from flat side to flat side and using Stylecraft and/or Scheepjes Colour Crafter DK weight yarn and a 4.0 mm hook.
