“This project was specially designed to brighten the lives of men, women, children and infants who face illness or other difficult situations. This hat is the perfect gesture to show you care. Even beginning knitters will find that they can easily create this accessory for those who need the comfort and encouragement they bring.”

Yarn Note: A soft cotton or cotton blend yarn will make a cap that will be comfortable and cooler to wear, as this cap is for looks, not for warmth.

Needle Note: This Cap is worked in the
round with either double pointed needles
(see Double Pointed Needles, page 4), or circular needles. Begin the larger sizes with one 16” (40.5 cm) circular needle and the smallest size with two. Change to two circular needles on the larger sizes when beginning the Top Shaping. Use whichever method you prefer.
