Hug Hat
When my son Jake asked me to make him a hat, I asked him to describe what he wanted.
“Loose here, not so tight here and flat on top” were some of the words I had to work with. So after completing, not sure if it was what he had in mind, he said “It’s perfect mom!” and I received a super hug from him. Here’s hoping you get a big hug, too!
The original hat was designed to flip the ribbed brim up. Since then, it has been worked with a lighter weight yarn and worn without flipping the brim up. It is a really fun longer slouch hat.
Stranded with a soft mohair, it becomes a really soft and fun gift.
Mountain Colors perspectives kits are a great way to stripe!
