Hug me
Springs in New Zealand are moody, with chilly mornings or evenings and beautiful warm days.
Hug Me is a all about being cozy and warm without carrying a heavy scarf or wrap! Drape it over your shoulders or wear it as a scarf!
The main body is worked in half fisherman rib, an easier alternative to brioche knitting. Use of larger needles and mohair added to a rustic 4ply will give an airy and lofty feel and texture.
Being worked in the bias from the smaller tip, it is easy to adjust the size to your liking or yardage available.
Measurements are given both in centimetres and inches.
Materials
shown here in Cosy cyan 4ply NZ wool (303m/100g) - used approx. 450m double stranded with Skeinz Whisper Fine mohair in Aria (50%super fine kid mohair, 33% polwarth 17% polyamide), 227m/25g,- approx 450m
Needles 7mm (UK2) - circular 80cm/32 inches or longer, but please feel free to adjust needle size if you substitute yarns or would like a fuller/thinner feel to the texture
Gauge: - not critical but it affects the finished measurement and yardage.
