You will need approx 150gm of fluffy wool. I recommend using Fandango by Colinette, although this is getting increasingly hard to find. You will also need a little brown or black wool (chenille works well) for the nose.
For the stuffing you will need a small quantity of plastic pellets to weight the paws and bottom, some cotton wadding and two eyes.

If you intend your Horace to be played with by small children I would recommend that you consider embroidering the eyes on as small items can obviously be a choking hazard. The plastic pellets used in the stuffing should also be very securely sewn into a strong material sachet to prevent them from leaking out. In any event children younger than 18 months should not meet Horace until they are older.

It is not absolutely necessary to use plastic pellets but they do add a pleasing weight to your bear and give him a satisfying thunk when you set him down. They are readily available and for the small amount of extra effort you have a bear of grandeur.
