Hugs & Kisses All Around
I was given a challenge by my friends in The Crochet Crowd Stitch Social Group to take the Hugs & Kisses Chevron Blanket and recreate it into FTM-style or From the Middle blanket. Challenge accepted and accomplished! I think you will enjoy crocheting this pattern just as much as the original. This is now number 3 in the collection. If you would like a straight side to side version, check out the Little Boy Blue Blanket.
I used 3 Caron Big Cakes to crochet this 42″ lap-size blanket. I did measure and with just 2 Big Cakes had a 34″ square, which would make a nice baby size blanket. Of course, you can use your favorite worsted weight yarn and create your own color theme. I think this would also look lovely in a solid color too.
Since this pattern is crocheted in the round rather then in rows, I did change from bobbles to popcorn stitches to represent the hugs in the blanket.
