This pattern is the perfect partner to my Hugs and Kisses Scarf or Cowl, and a great introduction to knitting cables in the round! It features 2 basic cable stitches that combine to create a very fun and cozy winter accessory. Knit up some hugs and kisses for yourself, or a special someone!

Approximately 19.5 (21.25, 23)” circumference and 8.5” tall, before blocking; with instructions for adjusting the height of the hat.

4.5 stitches and 6 rows = 1 inch in circular stockinette stitch on size 7 (4.5mm) needles, before blocking

1 hank Garage Dyeworks Auto Worsted (100% Superwash Merino; 100 grams/210 yards)
Size 7 (4.5mm) - 16” (40cm) circular needles, or size necessary to achieve gauge
Size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles, or size necessary to achieve gauge
3 stitch markers (1 different for beginning of round, 2 the same for cable section)
Cable needle
Darning needle
