Hulda Cardigan
Hulda is a summery cardigan with short puff sleeves and delicate ruffle edges along the front panels. The front panels feature the loveliest lobster motifs, while the back is adorned with a cow, all created with beads.
The cardigan is knitted from the top down in Handdyed Fat Mohair and Mohair Bouclé. It has saddle shoulders, short puff sleeves, and a beautiful ruffle edge along the front panels. To start, 2 shoulder pieces are made. Stitches are then picked up along these to knit the back first, followed by the front panels, both of which are shaped with short rows. After the armholes, the work is joined, and the body is knitted. Stitches are picked up at the armhole, and the sleeve cap is shaped with short rows, while the puff is formed with increases at the top of the sleeve, after which the sleeve is knitted in the round. Finally, ruffle edges are crocheted along the front panels, and stitches are picked up for a ribbed edge along the neck and front edges.
Also available as a KIT with yarn, beads, and pattern.
