Inspiration for this pattern:
This shawl body is inspired by old nostalgic, rustic Christmas, and the border is inspired by A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. My favorite Christmas Story. Together, they make the Humbug Shawl, which is Scrooge’s saying in the story. Even though he is a rough and harsh man, there is something good living in him. This is something we are reminded of every Christmas, and therefore we’re told to treat everyone good, and that no one should be alone. I hope that you will think about this when knitting your shawl, and bring it to your everyday routine. It’s OK to be reminded of great values during the holidays, but it is even greater to practice them all year round. So with a little Scrooge in my heart, I wish you a very happy Knit!
