When the chilly mornings beginning to bite, or your fingers are freezing over your keyboard, wrist warmers are a wardrobe essential. Worked flat and seamed, with an opening for your thumb, these can be pulled down to your fingers or pulled up your lower arm, and worn with either the stocking stitch or cabled stitches on the outside.

You will need up to 50g (150m) each of two colours of DK yarn, 4mm needles, and a cable needle (although the cables are only two stitches wide, so can be made by knitting into the front/back of the 2nd st before working the 1st st and sliding them off the left-hand needle together if you prefer).
