Helix knitting allows you to produce single row stripes in as many colours as you like without cutting or carrying yarn at any point. I designed this hat to use up small skeins of different colours of plant dyed yarn experiments and used four colours of aran yarn to make an adult size, but the pattern explains how to use other weights of yarn and more colours and knit for any size of head.
