Hummingbird Pinwheel Doily
Hummingbird Pinwheel was created at the request of one of my customers. It is part of my Celebration Pinwheel Doily Collection I used well-known stitches in creative ways to make my Hummingbird. The tail is made with six feathers using chain and slip stitches. The beak is made using chain stitch as well as slip stitch and single and half double crochet stitches. I think you will love it.
Using about 450 yards of size 10 thread and a 1.75 to 2.00 mm hook, this doily measures 19 inches in diameter.
The pattern is presented in 2 columns as I find that easier to track from the end of one line to the beginning of the next line. I also show the round repeats in red to facilitate easy reading. Blue text indicates notes. There are 24 pictures to assist in visualizing the instructions.
My testers were Vicki Owen, Sherri Snyder, and Brenda Dotson.
