Humphrey Boogourd
Growing up, Humphrey Boogourd was embarrassed by his name, feeling like it was a bit on the nose. Despite this, he made his way onto the silver screen and became one of the most iconic actors of the Golden Age of Howlywood. As you may know, one of Boogie’s most famous characters lived in Casablanca. Now, his casa is a calabaza, or pumpkin. This legendary actor now embodies the role he was conjured to play: In-Specter Squash. He’s hung up his fedora and traded it for a jaunty jack-o-lantern lid. Here’s to haunting you, kid.
The pumpkin base and ghost are crocheted as one piece in continuous rounds in single crochet. The lid and stem are crocheted in two pieces, sewn together, and then sewn to the ghost. The pumpkin base is only partially stuffed to allow for the ghost to be tucked inside. Choose between an innocent jack-o-lantern or—surprise!—a not-so-spooky ghost to fit your mood.
