3mm hook

Two 7 inch pieces of scrap yarn (optional)

Single crochet
Increase stitch
Decrease stitch
Slip stitch
Magic ring
Spine stitch – (sl st, ch3, sl st) in the same stitch

Yarn subtitutions
Any DK or worsted weight yarn can be used. If you use worsted weight the finished size will be slightly larger and I would go up a hook size.
