Humpty Dumpty Plushie
I made up this pattern as I thought it would be fun to do Humpty Dumpty for my great nephews for Easter. They are only 8 and 9 months old so made them nice and plush for them. I wanted to do something a bit different than the traditional bunny or lamb. The bulging egg eyes are in this pattern but I also show this with my free amigurumi eye pattern that is also on Ravelry.
I used super bulky yarn for most and double strands of worsted weight for some of the accents. I’ll list here what I used specifically here but you don’t need a lot of each colour so it’s a good one to do a bit of stash busting with.
Bernat baby blanket yarn in Vanilla for the eggshell
Hobbii Honey Bunny Candy in colour 75 for the clothing
Yarn Laine Soft & Fluffy (from Dollar Tree) for the hat and belt in yellow and red
Basic worsted weight yarn in white, black and eye colour (I used blue) for the facial features
I used a 7 mm crochet hook for everything except the facial features where I used a 5 mm.
Polyester stuffing (Tip: cheap pillows from Walmart etc. work out to be cheaper)
