Make a fantastic caterpillar hat or booties in the colours of your choice. Mine were to go with the Hungry Caterpillar book.

Of course you could simply omit the added features for a simpler style.

Hat is knitted in the round
Booties are knitted in the round, leaving just the cast on seam to close. (Provisional cast on would enable you to graft the seam closed.)

Yardage is estimate only, since I always make a complete set so use less than 100g ball.
