Knitted in the round, but easily converts to knitting flat if you prefer that.

My caterpillar measures approx 13cm (5inches) and has a wing span of 16cm (a little over 6inches)

He was lovely and easy to knit - I cant knit in the round so I made him flat and slightly longer. I found it easier for the antennae to cast on 9 then cast them off then sewed them to top of his head they naturally curl a bit but I dont mind. I love your patterns because they are good to follow and knit out nicely. I also used 3mm instead of the bigger ones as I find toys work well with double knitting and 3mm but thats just my preference. I knitted him this morning so he didnt take long and I am chuffed with the results.
