Hungry Horse begins with the center panel which is conveniently worked back and forth. Once the panel is complete, stitches are picked up and the blanket is then worked in the round. It is easy to customize this blanket by adding more borders or working fewer or more rounds in each border.

Yarn: DK or light worsted. Shown in PDS Stumptown DK.
Color A (Tree Frog, center panel): 200 yd. / 180 m
Color B (City Beach, border 1): 200 yd. / 180 m
Color C (Grand Prismatic, border 2): 300 yd. / 275 m
Color D (Tupelo Honey, outside border): 400 yd. / 365 m

Needles: US 7 /4.5 mm (24” / 60 cm and 40” / 100 cm circular) and a spare needle of same or smaller size for picking up provisional cast on stitches.

Notions: (4) stitch markers, scrap yarn for provisional cast on, and a tapestry needle for weaving ends.
