This cute beanie style hat is easy enough for an experienced beginning knitter. It is knit entirely in the round in stockinette stitch. Use a long-tail cast on for the body of the hat and a Turkish Cast-On for each ear giving each a beautiful finished look from the front and the back. Instructions for the Turkish Cast-On are given in the pattern. Yarn used for this project was Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Yarn” 100% acrylic. The hat is very stretchy and may or may not cover the ears making it a good spring or autumn hat when there is a chill in the air. Directions are for 0-3mo, with the other sizes in parentheses (4-6mo, 7-12mo, 1-2yrs, 2-4yrs ).
