Leaves are falling. The harvest is done. The seasons are turning, and soon snow will cover the land. Now is the time to hunt and prepare for winter.

Hunter Moon is a crescent-shaped shawl worked from the top down. The body of the shawl uses the Irish Mesh lace pattern, and the border is worked in a variation of the Old Shale pattern. This shawl is designed to work with any fingering weight yarn, but it showcases variegated, hand-dyed yarns particularly well, allowing both the patterns of the lace and the colours of the yarn to shine without competing against one another.

The sample shawl is a size medium, and was knit with Crooked Kitchen Yarn’s Merinoh! Euro in the Bluebeard colourway.
