As I write this, another Polar Vortex is heading this way, so you need to be warm and ready! The Hunting Park hat and cowl set is the perfect way to get cozy.

A traditional scarf and hat set is updated with buttons that can convert the scarf to a cowl, and strategically placed short rows shape the hat ribbing for a neat fit. A slip stitch pattern makes working two colors easy.

The hat is sized for adults S/M (M/L) with finished circumferences of 20.5 (22)“, stretched; and the scarf is 8” wide and 50” long.

Gauge for both is 20 sts and 22 rows = 4” in the slip stitch pattern.

For needles, you will need a US size 8 (5.0mm) for the scarf, and for the hat you will need US size 6 (4.0mm) 16” circular, US size 8 (5.0mm) 16”, and a set of US size 8 (5.0mm) double pointed needles.

The scarf takes one skein of color A and one skein of color B; the hat takes one skein of color A and one skein of color B.

The photographs show the set worked in Milk Chocolate (color A) and Antique Rose (color B).
