Huntleya Bonnet
look up the name of the bonnet - it is a beautiful orchid flower!
Gauge: 23-24 sts in 4in/10cm in two color moss stitch pattern
(usually 21 sts in 4in/10cm in stockinette stitch – please make a gauge swatch in the moss pattern!
22 sts in 4in/10cm in stockinette stitch on smaller needle size)
You will need: yarn in two colors (up 40 grams for the smallest size and up to 100 grams for the largest size in the main color and small amount in the contrasting color), knitting needles to obtain the gauge (please make a gauge swatch!) and knitting needles that are a size smaller than the gauge needles, darning needle to weave in the yarn ends and to sew the back of the hat.
The hat is knit flat.
The samples were made using Drops Sky, Drops Lima and Drops Cotton Merino and using 4mm / US6 knitting needles (and 3.5mm / US4 knitting needles as the smallest needle size).
