This hooded scarf is my first design. The inspiration came from the Jedi hood, which is big and cosy, the scarf I wanted to be long and thin. This project is fast to knit and its ideal for cold winter days. I also use it indoors to protect my shoulders and neck from cold.

Pattern is one size, but it can easily be adjusted for any yarn and gauge. For the knit of the hood I used a 60 cm circular needle.

The pattern is available only in Finnish, but the instruction is very simple: first you knit the scarf, when it’s the size you want you just pick up the stitches for the hood from the side of the scarf. The hood is made as a giant heel with shorten rows.
