This pattern is unlike most of mine. I designed it for a special person that really likes fun and funky knitted FO’s. It’s a fairly fast knit and makes a great gift for either you or someone you know that likes the more esoteric look. It’s a really fun knit, made for TV knitting, once the stitch is learned (included in the pattern).

This is a pattern for a loopy shoulder cowl. The finished cowl measures 11 inches X 56 inches. The cowl can be worn as a spring garment, draping over your shoulders in a way that won’t fall off. Or it can be made to be warmer, by wrapping it around your neck and shoulders, However, you may have a favorite way to wear cowls that’s different from mine. The loop stitch is a very unusual one and will be new and fun to do for most knitters.

The lace stitches are written out line by line, ONLY. AND, there are clear instructions on how to make a “knit-loop” stitch.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of both knitting, purling, and lace knitting.)

The sample cowl was knit using Handmiden’s Merino Camel Lace yarn and Knit Pick’s Aloft, held together. The combination of the yarns gives the cowl it’s unique and fun look.

The sample was expertly test knitted by Beverly Long who can be reached at: blong39@ hotmail.com

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry or in my Etsy Shop in the Eclectic Scarf Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=…)
