Hut 8
I was astounded to learn that more than 130 female civilians worked in secret at Bletchley, filing, punching holes and carrying out routine tasks. Without their administrative help the code cracking wouldn’t have happened. This everyday classic cardigan is a tribute to these ladies. With simple shaping, patterning and construction this cardigan is the ideal first top down garment pattern - as easy to make as it is to wear.
This pattern is part of The Bletchley Collection, a six piece collection for Eden Cottage Yarns’ Milburn range inspired by the WWII code breakers stationed at Bletchley Park.
APOLOGIES: In the original version the buttons have been placed on the wrong side of the cardigan. The button hole should be made at the start of the RS row not the end. Work as described otherwise. This will be corrected in the online and future printed versions as soon as possible.
