Hydrangea Baby Afghan
The hydrangea baby afghan was inspired by the hydrangeas blooming in my garden right now ~ a gorgeous shade of blue. The pattern consists of a botanical center panel, with two lace side panels (if someone wants an easier version, they can substitute this lace pattern for an easier stitch; for example, stockinette). The pattern consists of knitting nupps for the hydrangea-like flower, which is not difficult as long as the stitches making the nupps are kept long and uniform. This baby afghan is a gift, and I can’t wait to gift it! I used 6 skeins of Organic Baby Cotton by Hobbii. The afghan is both eco-friendly and economical. I spent less than $25 for all of the yarn! The recipient of this gift picked cotton yarn because of its washability and durability ~ not to mention the vibrant color choices. Fun project! Bring a little of that gorgeous garden indoors! Beth
