Hyena crochet pattern

This measures about 10cm tall and 12cm in length, when made with double knit yarn or about 13cm tall and 18cm in length, when made with aran yarn. When I make this Hyena I use the Stone and Dark brown shades of Stylecraft yarn, but any two that go well together would work.

Materials

For the smaller size animal:
3.5 mm hook (US E hook)
Approx 15g light double knit weight yarn
Approx 10g dark double knit weight yarn
Small amount of black yarn for details
Stuffing

For the larger size animal:
5 mm hook (US H hook)
Approx 25g light aran weight yarn
Approx 15g dark aran weight yarn
Small amount of black yarn for details
Stuffing

• chain
• slip stitch
• single crochet / double crochet
• single crochet decrease / double crochet decrease
• single crochet increase / double crochet increase
• half double crochet / half treble crochet
