Hygeia Stole was inspired by the Hygeia springhouse located in the sunken garden of West Baden, Indiana. I used a Twice Knit stitch as the sky breaking through the Ruching of clouds. The architecture of the trellis is echoed by the Arrowhead Lace stitch. Water drops of beads are added to the Seafoam Lace stitch of the eternal underground spring. I cord cast on and bind off create a no fuss finish for this silky summer stole. Hygeia Stole is knitted from top to bottom, working back and forth on circular needles in two colors.
