Inspired by the beauty of the changing seasons, the Hypha Cowl pairs simple construction with unique stitch patterns in a richly textured fall accessory. The cowl is worked as a rectangle, starting at one long edge. Functional buttons and buttonholes are added to secure the cowl and allow you to style it in multiple ways.

Yarn Harrisville Designs silk & wool (70% fine wool, 30% silk; 175 yd 160 m/ 1 ¾ oz 50 g): #212 Gravel, 4 skeins.
Hook Size F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Four 1” buttons; yarn needle.
Gauge 6 sts and 9 rows = 2 ½“ in mod puff patt.

This cowl is worked from side to side horizontally. The edging and fringe are worked after the body is complete, then the buttons are sewn to the last row of the body.
