I wanted a quick colourwork cowl made from bulky yarn, so I raided my stash to find all the Shetland-style Chunky yarn that I owned. I had lots of small amounts of assorted colours, so I did some quick colour combining and came up with this motif. The little ovals decorations look like brooches, so I called this Hyrste which is Old English for jewel or ornament.
