Hyrule Sweater
Pattern is available in both English and Norwegian.
Did you also spend last summer as a Tears of the Kingdom widow (or widower)? Well, behold this year’s Christmas present! This sweater is perfect for all Zelda fans. With patterns you recognize from different parts of the game, and a beautiful colour play in the yarn, this sweater is guaranteed to become a favourite!
The original sweater is knit in double Drops Fabel, which is fingering weight yarn. You can also use other similar fingering weight yarn, double, or a thicker yarn (worsted) with single thread. Knit a test where you measure your gauge and adjust your needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
The body of the sweater is knit fist, bottom up, with ribbing and pattern at the bottom. You then continue in stockinette stitch in the round, with more pattern over the chest and back. After knitting some of the pattern, you separate the work for armholes. From here, you can either continue to knit pattern back and forth, the front and back separately, or cast on extra stitches where the armholes are (for cutting later) and continue to knit in the round. Both methods are described in the instructions. After the pattern you cast off for the neck and continue to knit back and forth up to the shoulders, which are knit together. You then pick up stitches for the neckline, which are knit in rib pattern. At last, you pick up stitches for the arms in the armholes, and knit the arms top down, with pattern both at the top and the bottom.
