Pattern Description:
I Am No Man is a deep v-neck raglan worked in overall seed stitch and accent cables. Compound raglan increases, optional bust darts, and a-line shaping are included for a tailored fit up top and a more relaxed fit throughout the body.

This garment is inspired by the iconic moment that Eowyn, Shield Maiden of Rohan, defeats the Witch King of Angmar in The Return of the King. I hope this pullover lends you strength and comfort, whether you’re a fan of Lord of the Rings or not.

Needle Size:
US Size 6/4 mm circular needles; 32 in (80 cm) and 60 in (150 cm) cords; cable needle or size US 6/4 mm dpn if you prefer.

Gauge, Knit in the round:
“Seed Stitch (Circular)”: 18 sts x 32 rows = 4 in (10 cm) x 4 in (10 cm)
“Joined Cables (Circular)”: 13 sts x 8 rows = 2 in (5 cm) x 2 in (5 cm) (one repeat of the cable pattern across and 2 repeats up)

Amount of yarn needed:
5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 9, 10, 11) skeins of Baby Cat Yarns Organic DK. Sample knit out of Leather colorway

Or 965 (1060, 1195, 1310, 1430, 1570, 1740, 1875, 2060, 2235, 2425) yds / 883 (970, 1093, 1198, 1308, 1436, 1592, 1715, 1884, 2044, 2218) m of similar non-superwash DK weight yarn.

Or 500 (500, 600, 600, 700, 700, 800, 900, 900, 1,000, 1,110) g of similar non-superwash DK weight yarn.

How to choose a size:
Choose the size closest to your bust measurement (full schematic included in the photos):
Actual Bust: 28 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68) in / 71 (81.5, 91.5, 101.5, 112, 122, 132, 142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5)

This pattern is intended to fit with less than 1” of ease at the full bust and 4 inches of ease from the mid-body down to the hem. A-line increases are used to achieve this shaping. Optional Bust Darts are included as well to ensure the best fit possible.

If you’d like a garment with more ease at the full bust, feel free to size up. Just know that it may affect the fit under the arm, resulting in a slightly baggier look.
