I designed this on an Excel spreadsheet when I needed a capital ‘i’ for a block for a baby blanket. When I searched for other blocks with the letter ‘i’, they looked just like a line or were so fancy they resembled a cursive ‘J’. So, this is my take on a simple letter.

Gauge is unimportant; this is a dishcloth. Using Berroco Comfort Chunky, a bulky weight yarn, my square when completed was 13” on all sides. I am a slightly tight but even knitter.

I used one needle size smaller than what the yarn label called for when casting on and working the first row, then changed to the “correct” needle size.
