I Can't Believe it's not Knit! Mitts
These mitts are surprisingly quick and easy to make, and give a knit-look even though they are crocheted. The only special stitch needed is the half-double crochet in the third loop. A link to a tutorial on this stitch is included in the pattern and can also easily be searched on YouTube. This pattern is labeled as intermediate, but is readily accessible to the adventurous beginner after watching the half-double crochet in the third loop tutorial. Also shown in the photo above is the I Can’t Believe it’s not Knit Hat, available separately in my Ravelry Store.
Skill Level: Intermediate
What You’ll Need:
100 grams of worsted weight yarn (about 218 yards).
H Hook (5.5mm)
Stitch marker
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Gauge: Guage is not particularly important for this project. Try your mitts on as you make them. If your crochet tension is particularly loose, use a smaller hook. If the mitts feel too snug as you’re making them, move to a larger hook size.
