This cowl was originally designed as part of a Valentine’s Day collection but it is also my own tribute to the KNIT RED/STITCH RED Campaign, founded in an effort to raise awareness of heart disease in women. What better way is there to show the world how much love you have in your heart than to display it proudly in a gorgeous shade of red?

Although this yarn is categorized as a worsted/Aran weight, I found it to be thinner, almost a DK weight, and really perfect in weight and color for the feminine look I was seeking.

I would say the skill level required to complete this pattern is Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. Basic knowledge of lace, knitting-in-the-round, and performing yarnovers makes up the foundation of this pattern.

Gauge is not critical and the cowl can be knit in any weight yarn. Easy modifications for different sizes are explained in the pattern.
