I originally worked up the chart for the map of New York State for a square in a sampler afghan called “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things.” I’ve been planning to use the motif again, but kept putting it off. After a wonderful recent trip back East, I had to design something to show my affection for my home state. I do heart NY and I do heart this hat!
