This hat was designed for a 2011 Martin Luther Day of Service baby hat project. The pattern is written for baby/newborn size. Suggestions for adapting the pattern for toddler and child sizes are given.

The hat is reversible and has a folded picot hem. The rest of the hat is 2 color doubleknit (alternating Knits in one color, Purls in the other). Both a chart and written directions for the colorwork are provided. Directions for doubleknit decreases are included.
