La maglietta è lavorata top down: si avvia inizialmente la parte posteriore dello sprone, che viene lavorato a scendere fino alla tacca di scalfo; a questo punto vengono riprese le maglie dalle spalle per il davanti e, infine, tutte le maglie vengono messe sul ferro circolare per lavorare il busto, aggiungendo solo un po’ di sagomatura (opzionale) per il seno. I Knit Econo si indossa con un po’ di agio o addirittura oversize (non esattamente una cosa anni Settanta) per sfruttare al meglio il drappeggio del filato.

The tee is knitted from the top down: the back yoke is cast on first and worked downwards to the bottom of the sleeve shaping; stitches are picked up and cast on for the front half and finally all sts are knitted toghether for the body, with just a tiny bit of shaping for the breasts. I Knit Econo is supposed to be worn with a bit of positive ease, or even oversize (not exactly a 1970’s thing) to get the best of the drapey yarn.
