I Left My Heart At LYS cowl pattern is dedicated to my local yarn store, Yarn Store Boutique in Spring, TX. This place is a yarn haven for knitters, crocheters, weavers, and all yarn folk alike. The owner, Doris, and all the employees are the most helpful and encouraging people around. This is THE LYS you would want to come back to, over and over again, to get yarn for your next project, learn new techniques, get help with your current project, or just hang out with your fellow crafters. I Left My Heart At LYS cowl is the perfect all-time accessory. It is a fun and engaging knit. The cowl is knit flat sideways and then seamed up the back of the neck after blocking. This cowl utilizes mosaic knitting, garter stitch, and eyelets. The pattern can be worked from written instructions or charts.

Yarn: Emma’s Simply Spectacular DK
75% SW Merino, 25% Nylon; 255 yd / 3.5 oz (233m / 100g)

• MC - Love+Leche - 1 skein
• CC - Denim - 1 skein

Or any DK weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors, MC (~170 yds/ CC (~220 yds)

Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm)

Notions: darning needle, 1 stitch marker

Gauge: 22 stitches and 48 rows = 4” in main pattern. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and finished size if different from above.

Sizing: 27“ circumference, 20” center front depth, 5.5” back neck depth

compact (3 pages, 11 pt)

large print (7 pages, 20 pt), the version with big letters for those who use portable devices like tablets and e-readers; also for those knitters who have difficulties reading small font on paper.
