This pattern is from Charming Colorwork socks: 25 Delightful Knitting Patterns for Colorful, Comfy Footwear.
I’m a Scorpio and I have always been a bit obsessed (perhaps batty!) with all things Halloween, even when the holiday was only just starting to become popular in the UK when I was a child. One of my most terrifying memories of Halloween was waking up and finding that a bat had flown into my bedroom in the night. On further investigation I have found out it either meant there was a ghost in the house (not reassuring), bad luck was coming, good luck was coming or we had mice and the bat was hungry. Anyway, my father rescued it and that memory has stuck with me ever since.
My appreciation of bats, however, has grown, leading me to design a fun holiday sock featuring their shape in honor of Halloween.
Construction Notes
Knit from the top down with a ribbed cuff, this sock includes a simple bat colorwork pattern throughout the leg and foot. These socks are knit with a contrasting short row heel and toe.
