I Will Survive Scarf
I Will Survive Scarf is freely inspired by the 90s TV series Twin Peaks created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. The pattern is a tribute to the character Donna Hayward (Lara Flynn Boyle), who wore the scarf in the series. Donna Hayward is one of many characters of the show with countless stunning and timeless outfits. She wears the scarf a few times during the series, and the colors of the scarf are absolutely stunning – even today, 35 years later.
This version of the scarf is characterized by being hand-knitted rather than machine-knitted, as the original. In this pattern, you knit in the round in stocking stitch, which makes it incredibly easy to knit. Finally, the ‘tube’ is sewn or crocheted at the ends so that the scarf is flat, and finally the fringes are attached. The scarf is 174 cm / 69” long.
Gauge: 24 stitches = 10cm / 4”
