The “IAN” beanie - simple, warm, and stylish.
Named for my brother and knit in the colors of his favorite sports team, this cap is perfect for those chilly autumn afternoons at the stadium.
THE BASICS
• Pattern includes 3 sizes: Toddler * Child * Adult
• Pattern is written in ENGLISH and uses standard U.S. knitting terms
• Instructions are for knitting in the round on circular and double pointed needles
• Gauge: 22 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm)
• Knitting skill level - INTERMEDIATE

• Knitting in the round
• Basic increases and decreases
SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED
• Approx. 65 to 108 yds (59 to 89 m) DK weight yarn (main color) depending on size made
• Approx. 11 to 16 yds (10 to 15 m) DK weight yarn (contrast color) depending on size made
• U.S. size 4 (3.5 mm) 12” (for smallest size) or 16” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
• U.S. size 2 (2.75 mm) 12” (for smallest size) or 16” circular needles or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needle
• U.S. size 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge
• Stitch marker
• Yarn needle
